Summary: This position requires researching, developing, designing, and testing electrical components, equipment, and systems by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

▪ Design, develop, test and maintain complex analog circuitry for oil field instrumentation and take these products through the safety certification process.
▪ RF experience in RF mixer; RF power amplifier; RF switch.
▪ May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top-level contributor/specialist.
▪ Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
▪ Designs and directs engineering personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and determines methods, procedures, and conditions for testing products.
▪ Develops applications of controls, instruments, and systems for new commercial, domestic, and industrial uses.
▪ Directs activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
▪ Directs and coordinates operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations.
▪ Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
▪ A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Provide team leadership in a team-based development environment.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (B. S. E. E.) or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (M. S. E. E.) or equivalent; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong proficiency in electronics design, with an emphasis in analog, mixed signal, radio frequency (RF), and/or microwave circuit design. Also experience with instrumentation and Hazardous Area Certifications (ATEX and UL 508A) is a major plus.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software; Design software; Internet software and Project Management software. Proficiency in OrCAD, Protel, or other Electronic Design Package, Microsoft Project and Version Control software. Analog design experience should include simple to complex filters; high resolution A/D and D/A; complex preamp circuits; low power designs; and power supply design. VDHL, Verilog, C, MATLAB are highly desirable.
